The water melting off glaciers in the ocean actually quickens the pace of that melting. That’s what two University of Texas researchers, along with 3 others, realized when they looked at glaciers near Alaska and Greenland.
As KUT’s Audrey McGlinchy reports, scientists can now measure this melting water because it makes a sound.
