It's no secret that Austin Mayor Steve Adler is independently wealthy and that he doesn't need the 82 thousand dollars a year his position pays.
Adler has said he wants to use that money to boost the salaries of some of his staff.
But, as KUT's Joy Diaz reports, the move may have tricky implications.
