'Pure pop spiced with a tinge of sentimentality.' Zolton’s anthemic When The Lights Come Up On New York City looks back with reverence on his decade living in America.
"This song is about my first year living in New York when I met my now wife and we explored the city together fascinated by the whole energy of the place. I ended up living in New York for eight years, and loved the experience. So the song is my tribute to New York, the mystique of the city, and some of the fun areas we hung around in."
The song was written and co-produced by Zolton and co- produced by Taka Perry.
WHEN THE LIGHTS COME UP ON NEW YORK CITY
Follow shadows into Brooklyn
Lower East Side, Williamsburg
The night hung heavy
Walking Bedford Avenue
When The Lights Come Up On New York City
We're Still Dancing
Down through Fort Greene's winter lanes
I held your hand against the cold
And everything felt in its place
And anything felt possible
When The Lights Come Up On New York City
We're Still Dancing
Where are the blue skies?
Follow me
When The Lights Come Up On New York City
We're Still Dancing
