'Death and Birth in my Life' is a long term work from Swiss artist Mats Staub. He explores the human condition around the world in his art collecting life stories. Simone von Büren is dramaturg on the project and joins to discuss the process, how Mats has so far recorded participants from South Africa, Congo, Switzerland, Germany, France and will now be recording in Dublin. Those chosen share the very human experiences of death and birth in their lives. Simone also explains the special duty of care required for both subject and viewer when putting together the work and shares some of the fascinating cultural differences between different countries.
