Description

This episode explores the history of Corrigan and Sons Funerals. It's been on Dublin's Camden Street since 1884. I spoke to Gary Perry about the company's long history, how they've been serving Ireland's Jewish community for decades and why Corrigan and Sons came to be the funeral directors for medical school donor bodies. He gave me a tour of the venerable building which included the coffin showroom. Gary explained how families are now looking for more eco-friendly choices. As more and more opt for cremation, the company also stock a variety of urns and ash scatter tubes.
