Description

In this episode, a very dark chapter from Dublin's past. Historian Hugo McGuinness reveals the savage treatment of people who died by suicide in the 18th and 19th centuries. An ancient and callous law particularly affected the very poorest in society. There's a small unmarked plot where their bodies are still buried in Ballybough.
