Ever wondered what the creative process is behind the films, tv shows and theatre productions you watch? Well, crew chats is a podcast going behind the scenes and chatting to the crew that help make these productions.
Angharad Reed had had a keen interest in prosthetics and hair and make ever since she had watched Lord of the Rings, subsequently she studied Makeup and Prosthetics for performance at the London College of Fashion to pursue her passion. Whilst studying , Angharad did work experience as a wigs assistant on an opera at the Royal Albert Hall, where she became hooked with working backstage. After graduating, Angharad worked at the National theatre for two years in the wigs department and had also worked as a wig swing on the West End show Matilda. After leaving the National Theatre Angharad went on her first tour which was subsequently followed by back to back tours before going back to the West End. Two years ago Angharad moved home to Wales and splits her time between working on productions in the West End or touring and living in Wales. Angharad has worked on a number of shows such as 'King Lear', 'Emil and The Detectives' at the National Theatre, 'Matilda' in the West End and on tour and the' 9 to 5' tour to name a few.
