In this episode, I chat to Sinead Kidao about her role as a Costume Designer and her work in trying to implement more sustainable processes in the costume world.
Sinead Kidao is a RADA trained Costume Designer, who has designed various tv shows and films such as upcoming BBC series ‘Small Axe’ and episodes of TV shows, Black Mirror and Urban Myths as well as designing various short films. Sinead has also worked with Oscar winning designer Jacqueline Durran since 2010, on many films including, Pan, Macbeth, Anna Karenina and most recently Little Women which won the Oscar for best Costume design. Alongside her design work, Sinead is passionate about sustainability and has in response to this, created the Costume Directory, a source for those in the costume world looking for companies and products that are amongst other attributes sustainable and environmentally conscious.
