Tim studied Fashion and Textiles in Southport in the mid-eighties moving to London in 1989. It was there that Tim began making clothes for pop promos and commercials, assisting on fashion photo shoots and making costumes for the likes of Erasure, Paul McCartney, Dead or Alive and David Bowie amongst others. Subsequently Tim set up a studio in North London in the late nineties and from there made costumes for Boy George’s musical taboo and went onto work for his fashion line in New York. Thereafter Tim took a break from the freelance world and worked for Vivienne Westwood for 4 years. After which he decided to focus exclusively on costume, which led to him assisting leather artisans, Whitaker-Malem on the Wachowski film, Jupiter Ascending. Subsequently Tim has had a career in film, cutting for film such as, Aladdin, Nutcracker and The Kings Man.
