Hichem Salhi is a big music enthusiast from early childhood. Known under the stage name David Anderson, he is interested in all musical styles, never confining to one particular genre, with influences ranging from Hip-hop, groove, new jack, funk, Rock, House and Soul. Over the years, he used the diversity of each one of those styles and took advantage of the various meetings he had over the course of his career, to create a real dynamic and to become one of the main actors of the micro minimal house scene in Algeria; and a household name in numerous hip Algerian clubs.
In 2016, Hichem created his own party theme called "Between us", a concept based on underground elec- tronic music and a secret location that adds to its exclusivity to real music connoisseurs. He is also one of the founders of "Algerian Techno Movement", a club collecting electronic music DJ's and fans across Algeria. ATM enjoyed international coverage when they were featured in the renowned Techno magazine "Trax".
Hichem Salhi is also a resident DJ in "Duck it" records in Algeria, in which he shared the staged with various artists such as Djebali. phil weeks , nick curly...
In 2017, he had his first European exposure when he was invited by France's "Baby club" in Marseille. His set was so well received that the club opened its doors for him to play whenever he liked.
In 2018, he took part in the "Dakar Music Festival", a rich human and artistic experience that allowed him to meet other electronic music DJ's from around the world and plan future projects and collaborations with them.
In 2019, he launched the first live streaming platform for local electronic music DJ's in Algeria.
