The series is based on the 1973 cult classic of the same name starring Yul Brynner and written by Michael Crichton (who also wrote the book this film was based on) This new version was created by JJ Abrams, produced by and written by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. It stars Sir Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Evan Rachel Wood and Thandie Newton.
