Description

Nurgles is an original jazz-funk boogaloo composed by Hammond organist Liam Dunachie, written especially for this Masterlink Sessions recording.

Recorded live in the studio with Redtenbacher’s Funkestra, the track captures the collective in instrumental mode—tight, groove-driven, and rooted in classic Hammond-led funk with a modern edge. While Masterlink Sessions is often associated with vocal features, Nurgles puts the focus firmly on the band itself.

The tune’s title comes from a post-session pub visit—spontaneous, light-hearted, and very much in the spirit of the music.
