So, back when I was a teenager, we had a Sega Saturn and my Brother was into import games and so we had Dezeamon 2 for it :). To make a long story short, this game allows you to make your own SHMUP game. You can edit the sprites and background and tweak just about everything to your liking if you had the time to put into it. You could even use it's music program to create your own tunes. It was basically like Mario Paint on steriods :). So, technically I was making "chiptune" music before I knew that's what it was called and aside from maybe my Mario Paint tunes, this is one of the earliest example of that :).
