December of 2019 brings us to the final episode of the Graffiti Series project. The Graffiti Series was a year long experiment to release a new mix set every month in 2019. Each release contained all new music, mixed live and then released. The intention was to expand my catalog of tracks, explore new sounds within the house genre and re-hone my dj skills. What I didn't expect over this time was to get back into production of new music and evolve my recording process. The first few sets where recorded using Traktor 3 on a S5 unit, but as the year went on I transitioned over to Pioneer and the XDJ-RX2 hardware.
To cap off this project, solstice opens with a brand new bootleg remix of Brittany Howard's remarkable "Stay High". The set starts off more in the deep house sound but then builds into some bass & tech house vibes, explores some progressive builds and then back into the driving bass and beats. I wanted to create a journey for you and I feel this is a great way to wrap up 2019. Recorded live on Dec. 10th @ halonstudios.
