The ASA has announced an update of the 2005 OSA Guidelines. Dr. Foley discusses this update and her lecture at the SAM meeting in Seattle September 19-21, 2001. Topics included are the STOP-BANG tool, pre and post-op CPAP, when do you cancel a case for suspected OSA and the use of IV acetaminophen in these patients.
