Description

Flight Path is featured on the Defqon 1 compilation album (2004) and was the first track I made abroad with international artists.

In Spring 2003 I was invited over to the Gas Europe Studios in Italy to make a track with Beppe Barilli, Marco Micolo and my main man Manny G.

It was an epic trip involving one missed flight (hence the name), getting stranded in a dodgy B&B, several unfortunate drunken incidents, getting to Italy the scenic way and of course, doubling my own bodyweight with those neverending delicious evening meals.

Working closely with people in the studio where the only common language we had was basic long forgotten high-school French, we kept just making noises and playing stuff at each other to communicate what we wanted the track to do.

This tune has the longest breakdown ever and as with many of my tracks, I've actually rarely played it out. I keep wanting to do a remix of it but nobody knows where the original files are anymore.

This track is hard to find in digital form these days, so I thought it would be nice to wheel it out for your aural pleasure, 16 years later. This is only an mp3, the wav version is much more ballsy.
