14 years ago I recorded a party mix using nothing but old school breakdance electro-funk and hip-hop records from 1982-1985. Instead of uploading it, I had an idea of "Revisiting" this old mix by digging out all of the records and making a brand new, remixed version of it for 2017. Ever since I was a little kid bumping Herbie Hancock's "Rockit" on my Fischer Price boombox I've been obsessed with this music. From the 808 drums and funky electro basslines to the robotic roller-rink jam vocals, it still rocks the party.
