"Old Cottage Psalm" would be the closest English translation of this traditional Swedish melody, I guess. The melody comes from the Swedish region "Dalarna" and can be traced back to 1793, the birth year of roaming bard Bälter Erik Olsson who was to pick it up somewhere and teach his younger students this melody.
