Paul Sanwald is a bassist and composer living in San Francisco. He leads a quartet that focuses on his original music, and also works steadily as a sideman on upright bass and guitar, and occasionally works as an arranger. Paul started playing music professionally as a teenager, and has worked steadily for more than 20 years as a sideman and leader. Paul has toured internationally and recorded with Dem Brooklyn Bums, Elizabeth and the Hot and Silver Trio, The Blue Saracens, Flipside Phonics and Regatta 69, as well as leading his own groups.
