Juicebox Music's 61st release sees ARTN, aka Aly Nahleh, making his inaugural appearance on our Indian imprint with a 2-track EP featuring "Blue Frog" & "Lopos". Currently based in İzmir (Turkey), the Lebanese-born artist surfaced his ARTN project on AMPISH's label 'Sidra' in late 2019 and has since added more label associations along time - such as Mango's 'Mango Alley', Amber Long's 'Modern Agenda', Jelly For The Babies' 'One of a Kind' & Bondarev's 'WARPP'. Infusing an amalgamation of cinematic scores & exciting grooves to create his musical identity, ARTN's latest offering through this EP perfectly represents that vision.
"Blue Frog" encapsulates ARTN's idea of a musically rich composition, featuring multiple harmonious layers playing with each other in perfect polyphony, building up to deliver a heart-felt emotional scenic journey while resting on a groovy bed powered by a bubbly bassline that occasionally opens up to slip in a little touch of acid, hinting towards a little darkness in this story.
Switching up the gears, ARTN reveals "Lopos" - a powerful production aimed squarely at a dancefloor through its chunky & funky groove. Rest assured, it wouldn't be complete without a musical twist and ARTN does so by gracefully delivering an ethereal melody to facilitate a momentary flight for your soul.
