In 2011, roboticist-turned-writer Daniel H. Wilson made a big splash with his best-selling novel Robopocalypse, a pulse-pounding tale of robot rebellion. In his follow-up, Robogenesis, Wilson imagines a future after the robot apocalypse, where the line between human and machine is increasingly blurred. In this extension of the original interview, Wilson talks with Ira about the real machines that inspired the novel.
