Peer out the window,
before turning off the light.
Fearing what might happen,

I tune in the radio,
to hear the latest news.

where bail was refused.
Toothless zombies walk the streets,
you never know who you might meet.
Alone at night they’ll beat you down,
on this sorry side of town.

if you don’t comply.

with a bullet between your eyes.
You’ll hand them your wallet,
and tremble with fear,
You take your life in your own hands,
When you’re living here.

the violence and the crime.

The demons in the shadows,

hiding in the park.
Just like a horror film,
that happens after dark.
