72-STORY SECOND PHASE OF JERSEY CITY PROJECT RISING
The 72-story, 759-ft.-tall second phase of Kushner Real Estate Development’s Journal Squared in Jersey City, New Jersey, is now visible from surrounding roadways as it heads toward completion in 2020, New York YIMBY reports. Designed by HWKN/Hollwich Kushner and Handel Architects, the tower is architecturally identical to an existing shorter building and will house 700 residences and retail within approximately 1 million sq. ft. A major selling point will be impressive views of Jersey City and Manhattan. The source notes that concrete pouring and formwork is progressing at a rapid pace, with the site of the third and final tower being used as a staging area.
