CONSTRUCTION ON PALM JUMEIRAH TOWER REACHES HIGH POINT
Construction on the 50-story, 210-m-tall The Palm on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah artificial archipelago has reached the highest point, with construction on an infinity pool underway, Gulf News reports. With a clubhouse and an observation-deck level above it, the pool will be among the highest in the world. Nakheel is the developer of The Palm, part of a massive complex that will have more than 400 residences and a St. Regis hotel on the lower 18 levels. The complex will also include the two-story, 1.1-million-sq.-ft Nakheel Mall and a monorail station. The hotel is expected to open later this year, with residences following in 2020.
