EESF ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation (EESF) recently released several announcements. First is the approval of its new three-year strategic plan, which envisions "A World Free of Elevator and Escalator Accidents." Next, its chairman, Mark Mullins, has been named to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Advisory Committee on Construction Safety. Mullins is also Elevator Industry Work Preservation Fund national coordinator. Finally, it will be holding a Dessert Reception and First Annual Karaoke Dare during the National Association of Elevator Contractors 70th Annual Convention on September 16 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Participants will bid to have singers croon karaoke renditions of their favorite songs. Tickets are US$100 in advance and US$120 at the door.
