FIRMS PARTNER TO MEASURE ELEVATOR-AD ROI POTENTIAL
Digital media company Captivate and location analytics firm Placed have partnered to better measure the return-on-investment (ROI) potential of Captivate's digital advertising, found in thousands of elevators and lobbies in 1,800 buildings in the U.S. and Canada, Streetfight reports. Using tracking data including global positioning systems and Wi-Fi, Placed will be able to discover exactly how long and how much potential customers are viewing the ads. Users of Placed's more than 150 apps would have to agree to have their data collected, because, according to Placed CEO David Shem, "it’s important to get location data the right way, where privacy isn't an issue."

ELEVATOR PROJECT FOR NYC ISLAND TRAMWAY DELAYED
The Roosevelt Island Operation Corp. (RIOC) is restarting the bid process to install a pair of glass elevators inspired by Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue Apple store at the Roosevelt Island Tramway, which spans the East River to connect Roosevelt Island and the Upper East Side, New York City (NYC), dna info reports. The facility is equipped with a narrow elevator and wheelchair lift that frequently break down. Work was originally scheduled to start in October 2016 and be finished in approximately one year, but RIOC received only three bids, two of which did not meet requirements, after issuing a request for proposals (RFP) on September 30. The RIOC plans to issue a new, simplified RFP in the next few weeks, coupled with a more aggressive marketing campaign.

DENVER OFFICE TOWER REACHING SKYWARD
1144 Fifteenth, the tallest office tower to be built in Denver since the 1980s, is nearing completion, with the building's core surpassing 32 stories and topping off anticipated by the summer, The Denver Post reports. When it's finished, the Hines-developed tower will stand 40 stories and 603 ft. at the corner of 15th and Arapahoe streets. It will be the fifth-tallest building in Denver when completed in 2018. Hines reports leasing is going well, with approximately 30% of 670,000 sq. ft. under contract.
