GLASSY, CURVY APARTMENT TOWER BREAKS GROUND IN L.A.
Hankey Investment Co. and Jamison Properties have broken ground on a US$300-million, yet-to-be-named apartment tower designed by LARGE architecture at 2900 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles' Koreatown, Morningstar reports. Adding to a growing L.A. skyline that includes the mixed-use Circa by the same development team, the glassy, curvy 2900 Wilshire will boast 644 rental residences and a 1,000-space parking podium. Amenities will include a 1-acre rooftop amenity deck, a gym, a pool, a business center, private open-air dining areas and a Zen garden. There will also be 15,000 sq. ft. of ground-level retail. Developers have set up a multimedia website for the project that includes a live camera showing progress at the long-vacant site.
