HITACHI ELEVATOR: HOW ELEVATORS FIT INTO “DIGITAL ECOSYSTEM”
Hitachi Elevator (China) Co., Ltd. President Yuhui Jia gave a speech at the 2019 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Summit at the Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center in Yunnan Province, China, on May 21 titled, "Hitachi, With 100-Year History, Partners With Tencent Welink to Promote Development of the Smart Building Sector." The speech included digitized construction of cities, new technology such as Internet of Things, cloud computing, energy management and building information modeling. In a building's smart "ecosystem," elevators are connected to other systems such as access-control and gate systems, cameras and delivery/security robots, he said, adding that Hitachi is working with Tencent, a Chinese multinational conglomerate focusing on Internet-related services, to supply transportation solutions to Lingang Group's Hero Land development in northwest Shanghai.
