HYUNDAI REPORTS MORE PROJECTS AROUND THE GLOBE
Following the release of details on the Saudi Arabian government’s large order for units in Security Forces Medical City, Hyundai Elevator has announced details of other large orders it has won since December 2016. Two are in Turkey: Erzurum Healthcare Complex, a medical complex in Erzurum owned by HEKTAS, for 50 elevators and six escalators, and Inanlar Terrace Lotus, an office/shopping-center tower in Istanbul owned by INANLAR, for eight elevators and four escalators. 219 Trung Kinh is an apartment/office tower in Hanoi, Vietnam, owned by Bac Ha, for which Hyundai will install 17 elevators. It will put 12 elevators in Surabaya, Indonesia’s VOZA Premium Office Tower; 15 gearless elevators in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s RD-477; and four elevators and 22 escalators in Bacolod, Philippines’ Bacolod Capitol Central Mall.
MAN INJURED IN MALL ESCALATOR MISHAP IN CHINA
A man injured his buttocks as a result of falling on a mall escalator in Fuyang, China, on April 9, The Star reports. The man’s backside apparently became caught between a downward-moving step and floor panel. It took responders a “considerable amount of effort” to free him, after which he was hospitalized with what are being described as serious injuries.
