PEELLE GOES BIG FOR TEXAS NAVAL AIR STATION
The Peelle Co. recently manufactured its largest biparting freight-elevator door ever, a 30-ft.-wide door for Naval Air Station Corpus Christi (NASCC) in Texas. Michael J. Ryan, Peelle's vice president of Business Development, tells ELEVATOR WORLD the door was manufactured in Brampton, Canada, then delivered to NASCC, where it is being used to move helicopter rotors. The order included two 29-ft., 6-in.-X-8-ft. power biparting doors and one 29-ft., 8-in.-X-6-ft. power car door with a wireless control system. Ryan said it is most likely the largest biparting freight elevator door ever produced.
