OFFICE TOWER WITH KONE VT SYSTEM TOPS OUT IN MELBOURNE
A 40-story office tower that incorporates three historic façades from the “marvelous Melbourne” era of the 1890s has topped out on Collins Street in Melbourne, Australia, The Urban Developer reports. In addition to the façades of the heritage buildings, the tower boasts generous amenities, sustainability and high-tech features, including its KONE vertical-transportation (VT) system. Developer Mirvac opted to implement both KONE UltraRope® and JumpLift technology. Owned, in part, by Singapore-based Suntec REIT, the property is on track to be completed in 2020 and is nearly 100% preleased, with Deloitte taking up 22,000 m2 on 12 floors.
