OTIS MAKES BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS AT WEE EXPO
Otis made a pair of big announcements at World Elevator & Escalator (WEE) Expo on May 10: It plans to complete a 270-m-tall test tower and R&D facility in Shanghai by the end of 2018, and has made the SkyBuildTM self-climbing construction elevator a standard option in its SkyRise® line. Describing the tower and facility as a testament to Otis’ continued commitment to customers in China and beyond, Otis observed the test tower will be the tallest above-ground test tower in the world upon completion.
