RESIDENTIAL TOWERS COMPLETE IN MELBOURNE
The 36- and 40-story residential towers making up Marco Melbourne are complete in the Southbank area of Melbourne, Australia, World Architecture News reports. Golden Sunrise Developments is behind the project, designed by architect Jacqueline Loh on a prime site that provides views of the central business district, Botanical Gardens and Port Phillip Bay from approximately 430 luxury apartments. A common podium houses amenities such as a private dining room, cinema, gym and pool that were incorporated, Loh says, to "create a sense of opulence."

That part of the project would contain approximately 1,930 residential units and a four-level underground parking garage with 478 spaces. On the northwest quadrant, a pair of 89-story, 304-m-tall towers rising from the LBCO headquarters, along with a 75-story tower and underground parking for 1,543 vehicles, are planned. This trio would house approximately 5,190 new residential units.
