THYSSENKRUPP ANNOUNCES MULTI AWARDS, CTBUH PARTNERSHIP
thyssenkrupp announced three new awards for its ropeless, sideways-moving MULTI elevator system and an 18-month research project with the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). Exploring the potential of skybridges to expand amenities and enhance mobility and safety, “Skybridges: Bringing the Horizontal into the Vertical World,” was launched at the CTBUH Middle East Conference taking place in Dubai through October 25. MULTI’s latest awards are: in Germany, the International Design Award Baden-Wurttemberg Focus Silver, presented on October 12 in Ludwigsburg, Germany; in Spain, the German Chamber of Commerce for Spain’s Excellence Award, presented on September 27 in Barcelona; and, in China, the Innovative Product Award 2018, presented on October 17 in Beijing. thyssenkrupp Elevator CEO Andreas Schierenbeck said the awards point to an important moment in company history as it continues to provide “intelligent transportation systems . . . for future-oriented transportation concepts.”
