Description

With the school year winding down, most are setting their sights on summer vacation. But, bursting at the seams and loosing specialty rooms to student classrooms, at Willingdon Elementary in NDG, they are gearing up for the creation of a new Senior Campus to house Grades 5 and 6 for September 2019.

Over the next several weeks our podcasts will take you through this huge undertaking. An undertaking that has happened quickly and with full support from Principal Carmen Nicolas, Teachers, Parents, Students of the Willingdon Community and importantly, the EMSB. You’ll be hearing from Staff, students and parents. Plus our podcasts will be enhanced with lots of pictures and video as we visit the 2 campuses.

First up, Principal Carmen Nicolas, Governing Board member, Cynthia Quarry and Grade 5 student Sam Yeager who will be moving to the new Senior Campus in September, take us through the early steps of this process…the plusses and the space to be gained for both students and teachers. Sam might not be too excited about the great new soccer fields…but he is excited about the new science rooms!
