In 2023, WCNY launched an innovative program designed to recruit and train diverse groups of people to be successful in Central New York's booming film and video technology trades. The WCNY Entertainment Academy is now working with its second group of students, who are completing the 14-week program en route to job placement through partners I.A.T.S.E. Local 52 and Motion Picture Studio Mechanics.
