Beatrice Faida was born in a refugee camp in Tanzania, East Africa. In 2007, at age 12, she and her family migrated to the United States, re=settling in Central New York. Today, Beatrice is a small business facilitator for the Northeast Hawley Development Association and is on the board of the New Americans Forum, where she aids and advocates for others who are re-settling here. Beatrice tells her story to hosts Maryna Bogovska and Ibrahaim Mohamed, in this edition of Our New Neighbors.
