Description

Before leaving his native Afghanistan, Sohrab Omery was a translator working with the U.S. Air Force. He came to the U.S. when the Taliban retook control of his country and it was too dangerous for his to stay there. Sohrab now works for Catholic Charities in Syracuse, coordinating donations of good that help other immigrants establish their households. His ultimate goal is to be a police officer. His remarkable story, in this month's edition of Our New Neighbors, co-hosted by Maryna Bagovska and Ibrahim Mohamed.
