Tonight's show is on the topic of mental health. This a very important topic that is difficult to talk about and some would even say is taboo. Many different communities can benefit from it being discussed and by knowing what work is being done to break down the stigmas.
On tonight's show you will hear, an interview by Freewillin Franklin with Dr. Craig Adams discussing why in the heck the police are the front lines and 1st response to people suffering from a crisis. We will have in station interview with Dr. Cheryl Johnson, psychologist, president and co-founder of CJM Associates and who does some group work in our area including east Oakland. You will also hear a feature produced by Sara Blanco, it is the first part in a Full Circle series: titled: Mental Health Matters. For part 1 she interviewed a local Dr., Dr. Robert Okin, who has a new book out called: "Silent Voices: People with Mental Disorders on the Street".
