Tonight we’re featuring the documentary film by Nicole Opper entitled “Off
and Running: An American Coming of Age Story.” Highlighting the
experience of Avery, a black teenager in Brooklyn searching for her birth
mother, this film explores issues of race, same sex families, and transadoption
through her point of view.
