"Changes," is a remake of the iconic David Bowie song originally released in December 1971. As I was finalizing my then untitled 2013 album, it just felt like something was missing. Late one night, I watched the classic Bowie documentary, "Cracked Actor," and as "Changes" played, it was like a bolt of lightning struck me. I went straight to piano, learned how to play it and recorded it the next day. I wanted to stay relatively true to the original as the song and sound completely reflected what I was feeling. It wasn't necessary to deviate from that. Overall, I'm proud of how it turned out and hopefully those who hear it can tell that I was simply paying homage to a brilliant songwriter who was able to write a song that all these years later can still speak for what's going on in the mind of man in the present day.
