McFunkypants Voiceover Demo Reel
I've had people encouraging me to get into voiceovers my entire life. "You sound like you could do a movie trailer!"
I'm one of those people who can read a page of text in one take, if I put on a bit of a "radio announcer voice". I can annunciate clearly and have a deep low tone when recorded properly. I'm comfortable with public speaking.
It all came with practise. Over the years, I've been a real radio DJ (during university, late at night, for free), as well as a game industry public speaker (giving keynote speeches for events like game jams and academic conference presentations).
I also created www.onegameamonth.com which features a monthly keynote speech, so I have a wide body of work available if you'd like to see what my voice sounds like.
I'd like to offer VOICEOVER services to my peer game developers.
I can handle a wide range of badguys, generals, narrators, and radio voices. I could probably make a decent game trailer. I have a good microphone and tons of recording studio experience. I've written 40 videogames and books on gamedev, and I know game development very, very well. I know how to make movies, and have written tons of songs.
