I drew from the Crowley Thoth deck to get my random number ... figured I'd draw until I hit a number between one and seven. Pulled seven on the first draw. Swords; pertaining to the mind and realms of thought. Futility; exactly what I was bumping up against in trying to come up with something for the Junto this week. Oh well, let's download the story snippet and run it through the modular to see if anything happens.
The story, though short, is PACKED with ideas that a true foley artist could go to town on. That doesn't ever seem to be me though ... I can hear all the spots where I'd love to insert purposefully made sounds ... water, sparks in the dark, gnawing on pork, etc. I got it in two spot by my count. I like the fluttery echoes as Louis recalls the times passed, and I like the court musicians joining in at the end (courtesy of the astounding tELHARMONIC) though they decidedly do not play a minuet. Oh well. Another time perhaps.
Thank you to Marc and Richard for the source material and inspiration.
