I used the still image with an iOS application called Tunetrace which creates melodies based on the image one feeds it. It analyzes the image, and then follows the contours of it creating simple sounds. The image associated with this track is a partial screen shot of the app in process. Once the image has been analyzed, one can then play it forward, pause it, speed it up, and reverse it; all of which I did, in order, over the course of our allotted ten seconds. I then recorded it into Audacity and turned it into a mono track, compressed and eq'd it, and added some of those tasty Valhalla effects. This entire procedure was not my normal way of working at all and it stretched me a lot to come up with it. I love the Junto for it.

PS. Super-ironic to me that this image came out of the https://www.muffwiggler.com community ... a place dedicated to modular synthesis ... and I didn't touch my modular for this Junto! ;-)
