My Favorite Husband began in 1948 as a radio sitcom on CBS Radio, with Lucille Ball and Richard Denning as Liz and George Cugat. In later episodes the name was changed from Cugat to Cooper. The series was adapted for television in 1953 and was the basis for the TV sitcom I Love Lucy. In this episode , Liz endeavors to prove to her husband that she has what it takes to be an actor. Pamela Austin and Jim Heffernan reprise their roles as Liz and George Cugat, Janie Ballurio lends her vocal talents to the role of Miss Worthingill, the smug drama director from a nearby college, Adriann Philby voices Katy the maid and Vic Caroli the psychiatrist.
