In early 2023, Allison Adams found out that she and her husband, Dennis, were expecting their third baby girl. She was excited and a little overwhelmed because their middle child was only six months at the time. On early scans, her doctor determined that it was likely that she had placenta accreta.
So began a health journey that today has brought her to found an organization that honors her daughter, who turns 1 next month, and will help to fund research and the training of healthcare providers who treat mothers with placenta accrete.
“This was a very emotional journey, and every day, I see the faces of all the people that helped to save my life at Hackensack Meridian Health,” Allison says now of her journey.
