There's a wonderful Yiddish expression: "A kop ken men nit aruf shteln." Loosely translated, that means that while you can present information to someone, you can't actually create for them a new mind.
But is that actually so? Isn't there a tried-and-true method to create a new mind, and, in fact, to create a whole new person? There's even a name for it: procreation!
In this Sunday's edition of Kabbalah Cafe we'll look at the difference between education and procreation. One seems so refined, the other, so -- well -- coarse. And yet, the former simply shares ideas, while the latter creates life. Wherein lies the power of procreation? How does life emerge from such a materialistic act?
