The anniversary of the birthday of one of Clare's most famous sons will be commemorated this weekend.
The 5th annual Michael Cusack Day will take place at the Michael Cusack Heritage Centre on Sunday at 1pm. The event will celebrate the contributions made by the founding member of the GAA.
On the day there will be Hurley making, singing from pupils of Carron National School where Cusack attended and the presentation of a commemorative Michael Cusack Jersey.
Centre manager, Tim Madden, says its vital to remember Cusack's achievement, that shapes current Irish society today.
