A new initiative will allow second-hand bikes to be given away to those in need in Clare. Clare County Council has launched an appeal for unwanted children's and adult's bikes to be donated to its central waste management facility in Inagh, up until November 8th. The bikes must be in a reasonable state of repair as they will ultimately be fixed up, and given to people in need of transport support. Executive Engineer on Clare's Waste Enforcement Team, Maria Carey says its a worthwhile campaign.
