Members of Clare County Council are set to vote on the 2026 Budget later this afternoon.
However, a proposal to increase commercial rates by 8% is being greeted with dismay by Ennis Chamber.
The Chamber is describing the proposed rates increase as a “hammer blow to businesses, especially those operating in Ennis.”
